成為學校義工

Every Saturday runs on volunteers — helpers in the classroom, hands at the festivals, a friendly face at the front desk. Fifty years of the school has been built this way. Apply once, and we will guide you through the rest.

Who is a volunteer? 什麼是義工？

Anyone who helps the school or its students: in a classroom, at a festival or concert, at the front desk, setting up and clearing away, taking photos, or behind the scenes. You must be 13 or older; under 18, a parent or guardian is asked too.

凡協助學校或學生的人都是義工：課堂助教、節慶與表演活動、前台接待、場地佈置、攝影或幕後支援。須年滿 13 歲；未滿 18 歲者需家長同意。

This form is not needed for guest speakers, visitors, or parents simply bringing and collecting their own children. 來賓講者、訪客，或只是接送自己孩子的家長，無需填寫本表。

How it works 申請流程

  1. Apply here. Ten minutes, with a selfie holding your photo ID. 填寫本表並上傳手持證件自拍。
  2. We confirm who you are and the principal reviews your application. 學校核對身分，校長審核。
  3. We send you a letter to get a Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check from the Calgary Police Service. 學校寄給您申請警察背景查核（含弱勢族群查核）的信函。
  4. Share your clearance with the school — by email or in person. 將查核結果交給學校。
  5. Welcome aboard. We will be in touch about where you can help. 審核通過後即可開始服務。

5. Confirm who you are 身分確認 *

Upload a selfie of you holding government-issued photo ID (driver's licence, passport, Alberta ID card), with the name readable. Only the principal and the school's administrators can see it, and it is deleted when you stop volunteering. 請上傳您手持政府核發有照片證件（駕照、護照、省身分證）的自拍照，證件姓名須清楚可辨。只有校長與行政人員能查看，停止擔任義工後即刪除。

6. Conditions and signature 義工守則與簽名

As a volunteer with Calgary Mandarin School I agree that:

  • Students' and families' personal information is confidential. I will use it only for my volunteer duties, and will not share, post, copy or photograph it unless the teacher or principal asks me to.
  • I will not post photos or videos of students online myself, and will leave school photography to what the school arranges.
  • I will tell the principal straight away if I see information I should not have, or have a concern about a child's safety.
  • I will tell the principal of any new criminal charge at the time it is laid.
  • Teachers and the principal are responsible for learning and discipline; I will work with them as part of the team.
  • The school may end a volunteer role that does not follow these conditions.

身為卡城中文學校義工，我同意：學生與家庭的個人資料須保密，僅用於義工工作，未經老師或校長要求不得分享、張貼、複製或拍攝；不自行在網路上發布學生照片或影片；如接觸到不應看到的資料或擔心兒童安全，會立即告知校長；如有新的刑事指控，會即時告知校長；教學與管教由老師及校長負責，我會與團隊合作；未遵守以上守則者，學校得終止其義工資格。

Collection notice. Calgary Mandarin School collects this information under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act to confirm who our volunteers are, arrange police checks, contact you, and match you to volunteer roles.
